Paper Cutting Modle

I find a book about the shadow puppets show in the library, there are a lot of stories both in old Taiwan and China.

In the past, the shadow puppets show was simple but full with faith and moral spirit which promoted morality efficiently.

The shadow puppets doll is a great sample because it must connect with each other, having the same rules with paper cutting.

There are many basic culture stories in the book. The following story has a peaceful picture.

A Wish of Lotus

Lotus said, “I am the symbol of Buddhism. Buddhism is Buddha’s education, and also is the education of expounding the universe and human’s life”
In the education of the universe and human’s life, Buddha teaches us mercy, Jesus teaches us philanthropy, and Confucius teaches us charity. They express the same idea in different words. With every one put effort tighter to benefit human being and favor people!

A Tablet of Gods

Gods said ,“Those who ask gods and request Buddha! Never think that: just buying some offerings to worship me will ensure your health, wealth and things going as your wish. Don’t have blind faith in that: doing evil thing and following by repenting to me will promise you to be exempt from punishment. In fact, to worship gods is to remind us of keeping disciplines. To worship Buddha is to remind us of learning Buddhism. It must keep an upright mind before praying in any religion to be able to communicate with gods. Anyhow, the only way to change one’s destiny is practice: don’t do any evil thing, but do all the good thing. ”

臉譜借誇張的色彩和線條，突出人物的性格，表達對人物的評價，褒貶善惡，是京劇化妝的一部分，臉譜主要用於淨丑兩行所扮演的各種人物。生旦很少採用，而只是略施粉墨。
臉譜由唐代樂舞大面所戴面具和參軍戲副淨的塗面發展而來。南戲、北雜劇直接繼承了這個傳統，但構圖一開始還很簡單，比如在面部中心畫一個白斑，畫兩個白眼圈，額上畫兩道黑線等等。隨戲曲的發展，臉譜日益精美，構圖也越來越多樣。
臉譜色彩豐富，圖案不一，容易讓人感覺混亂、神秘。但實際上，臉譜可以歸納為一些基本的類型，由這些基本的類型，根據人物的性格、氣質等，再變化出許許多多的臉譜。每個臉譜都是以戲中人物的長相、性格等為依據的臉譜的色彩也有各自的含義。一般來講，顏色象徵了性格。
比如紅色，表示人物的忠勇義烈；黑色表示人物忠耿、正直、勇猛；黃色表示人物殘暴兇狠等等。當然這種對性格的象徵也不是絕對的。

Certainly this kind of symbol to the personality is not absolute .

Paper Lace

The opera finished in 1874 fall, it is the highest -performanced opera over the world.

The opera represents a beautiful appearance but stubborn personality gypsy girl, tobacco factory chare, Carmen.

At first, Carmen fells in love with Don Jose, the cavalier, throwing out her old lover.

Later, Don Jose is captured because setting free Carmen who fights with chare in factory.

At last, Carmen wants to break up with Don Jose because the third person. Than, she dates with Escamillo, killed by Don Jose.

I find out that Flamenco is a great material.

AD Department

There was a graduating exhibition of Chinese Culture University the Department Advertising at Sogo department store Saturday.

At first, Ann and me went to Sogo for a Franz contest, a extraordinary beauty china contest.
But when we finished, we found out there was a interesting exhibition. Exactly, we have a visting card assignment in computer drawing.

Fortunately, we saw a lot of crative viating cards sample, getting some cards.

The design I like most is a pink style bear robot. The arrangement of the items and the colour combination were eye-catching!WOW! It's SOGO!I wish we can have a graduating exhibition at Taipei 101! Hahaha~
